Philippines Training Trip, February 2-12, 2017

God is really moving in the Philippines. We sent a Relief Team there to assist in the aftermath of Typhoon Yolanda, the following year Firefighters For Christ Manila was formed, and we sent a Training Team there last year. The gospel was presented and many made decisions for Christ. We will be sending another training team to teach 150 students Auto Extrication, Swift Water Rescue, and Wildland Firefighting Operations. Any firefighter is capable of assisting with this first-responder type instruction. Email Pat Stilson

6th Annual Marriage Conference, February 25, 2017

FFC Los Angeles hosts this one-day event in La Habra. Commit to this one-day event to help maintain your marriage. Open to all: married, engaged, single, firefighter or not. Cost is $60 per couple and includes breakfast, lunch, and a gift. Register at FFCLosAngeles.com

Hume Lake Firefighter’s Retreat, March 30, 2017 – April 2, 2017

This is FFC’s biggest event of the year. See the flyer and video on our home page. As a reminder, Hume’s Retreat starts Friday evening, but you can extend the weekend by attending FFC’s International Event which starts Thursday afternoon. Adding the extra day (arriving Thursday) is more relaxing and makes the weekend seem so much longer. You can register for either or both. We recommend both. Click on our Hume Lake link for more info and registration.

Ensenada Training Trip, April 30, 2017 – May 6, 2017

This will be a short travel trip to Rancho El Refugio (near Ensenada) in Baja California. This is a short drive from the L.A. area. We will be training on Swift Water Rescue, Auto Extrication, and Wildland Firefighting Operations. All firefighters are qualified to assist with our instruction. Email   Joe Lindaman for details.

Northern Ireland, Mission Possible -17, May 13-22, 2017

This is your opportunity to come alongside another Christian firefighter in Belfast (and possibly England) to do a couple shifts ride-along with them. Active-duty firefighters will engage in all on-duty activities, including emergency responses. Retired firefighters will visit stations where other team members are placed, headquarters, and other Retained Stations. You provide your transportation there and FFC Northern Ireland will take care of your local transportation and housing. Email Robert Blair ASAP so he can begin making arrangements for the team.

Hume Lake Servants Week, May 15-18, 2017

This is a work party of volunteers to help Hume switch gears from Summer to Winter camp. For many years, FFC has had a group of firefighters show up for this work party. If you have never been to Hume Lake, this is a great opportunity to experience this wonderful place at a rock-bottom price. Cost is $79 per adult and $60 for kids (ages 8-17). This covers your food, housing, and insurance. This is a great time of camaraderie with other firefighters and an opportunity to bring along your spouse or child. Text Greg Gibson at 805-551-6534 for carpools or more info. Register for this event at Humelake.org
