- I will go before you and will level the mountains; I will break down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron. I will give you the treasures of darkness, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, who summons you by name.

UPDATE #13
Well, it has been another productive day for the team. They divided up according to their gifting and ministered to the people of Delmas and PAP in the following ways: Seventeen desks have been completed at the orphanage, leaving only three to do tomorrow. Three students can sit at each desk, so school will soon be up and running again. The tent city was started and none too soon since there was a gentle rain shower last night. It was just enough to cool things off, not enough to make anyone miserable. The rain shelter will be needed soon, however. Kathleen, Carl and Jon went to the YWAM clinic in PAP across from the palace and had an amazing day of ministry there, apparently even prescribing meds and cleaning out wounds, etc. John, Scott, Jon and Jack went this evening to the army base in PAP to speak to any military guys who want to hear. The army chaplain has set it up and spread the word. We will anxiously be waiting to hear how it went. Thanks again for praying!
UPDATE #12
Carl Armbrust, Jon Zbinden and Kathleen Lindaman are working at the clinic where Omy is today. This is next to the Palace, where thousands of homeless Haitians need to hear of the love of Jesus Christ!
We don't have a lot of news from the team, but one wife reported that today a pastor is planning to start an evangelistic crusade in a field in PAP. We also heard that John White is going to speak to the 173rd Marine Battalion at 1 PM Haiti time.
Please pray Ephesians 6:19-20 over each team member today: "Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should."
UPDATE #11
“It is like the pit of hell here,” were the words I received from Karl Armbrust today, who is with Team 2 in Haiti, as he described the conditions there. Karl also shared that the team is working well together and has been very busy working at the Lighthouse Orphanage in Delmas, Haiti. Karl experienced a serious back spasm yesterday. He sent out messages to friends and family to please pray for him. The team also prayed for healing for his back. When he woke up this morning, he had absolutely no pain. His back was completely free of pain! Praise be to God! A testimony of the power and importance of prayer.
So far the team is healthy. Please pray for continued strength and health as the hot weather and work takes alot out of the team members. Karl also said that the two females that are on the team are incredible workers. God is using them in a mighty way.
The Haitian people are sleeping in the streets and gutters. There is virtually very few places for them just to lay down and sleep or rest. Because of the poor sanitation, the air smells very bad. But may the fragrance of Christ in them overpower the death and despair that surrounds them 2 Cor. 2:14-17
“But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us (Team 2) spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him. For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those that are perishing.”

UPDATE #10
The team split up in three groups today... Group 1 (John, Ava and Jeff) went to Carrefour. John said that when he finished sorting medical supplies, he filled a syringe with olive oil and began praying in Jesus' name over individual adults and children. (James 5:14) Out of about one hundred people, only five refused prayer. As he began to pray for one man, he noticed how badly the top of his head had been burned. The man told John that when he was a year old, his parents put him in a fire as a sacrifice to Satan. A lady snatched him out of the fire, got him to a hospital and his life was spared. Now he's walking with the Lord!
Group 2 (Scott, Jon, Carl, Karl and Kathleen) went to PAP to meet up with Omy. They received assignments to hand out food and work in a medical clinic. Little did they know, that they would be taken back to the Lighthouse Orphanage.
Group 3 (Joe, Mike, Jack and Shannon) worked on building desks so the children can resume school. They hope to have 60 desks completed by Monday.
Once Group 2 returned to the Lighthouse orphanage (surprise, surprise!). Jon, Carl and Karl went to work with the construction crew. Scott and Kathleen worked at the clinic along side members from another team. It was a longer day for work than usual but all made it back safely. Thank the Lord, all are still well. Besides church tomorrow, the team will go out into the neighborhood distributing food and sharing Jesus. Of course, all things are subject to change at a moments notice!
Your prayers are touching the lives of many people in Haiti. Thank you in Jesus' Name!
