- I will go before you and will level the mountains; I will break down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron. I will give you the treasures of darkness, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, who summons you by name.
UPDATE #18
The Lord brought all of Team 2 ERT members home safely last night. They realized how blessed they were because other travelers were stranded because of the storms in the East. The Lord, though, had ordained certain flights for them to be on because there were others, who needed to hear about Jesus' love. One passenger, who heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ, was a mother, who had lost her husband and two children in the Haiti disaster. She had left for work before the earthquake happened, so escaped injury. Her little one-year-old daughter was with her on the plane yesterday. She had been trapped for twenty hours but was rescued and was fine except for a broken leg. A flight attendant also heard about Jesus' love. She was very moved and thankful for the message of hope she could have in Jesus. Please pray for both of these women. The flight attendant is going through a divorce.
Here is an email that came to FFC International through a friend, who received this message from Nancy, whom is long-term missionary nurse working at the Lighthouse Orphanage. "The Firefighters For Christ group is some of the most amazing people I've ever been privileged to know. They have not only risked their lives in their careers, but have been some of the first to arrive on the scene of 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina. They are strong, humble, Godly, fun, hard-working ... even after working eight hours and dripping sweat all day, they are the first to want to get back to work doing more after dinner, while the rest of us collapse."
Thanks be to God who has made firefighters the way they are. "Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ's body. We are all parts of His one body, and each of us has different work to do. And since we are all one body in Christ, we belong to each other, and each of us need ALL the others." Romans 12:4-5
Those of you, who have sent these firefighters by supporting them in prayer, share in the joy of what the Lord accomplished with each of the ERT teams in Haiti. It sounds like new teams will be going again, so we'll continue to look to the Lord for His perfect direction and provision.
"Now glory be to God! By His mighty power at work within us, He is able to accomplish infinitely more than we would ever dare to ask or hope. May He be given glory in the church and in Christ Jesus forever and ever through endless ages. Amen." Ephesians 3:20-21

UPDATE #17
Team 2 arrived safely in Santo Domingo tonight. Their flights for tomorrow were cancelled but after two hours of working with AA, the Lord graciously put the team on an earlier flight to LAX. "We can make many plans, but the LORD's purpose will prevail." Proverbs 19:21 Thank you for your faithful prayers. You have been the team's partners in spreading the Good News about Christ. And we are sure that God, who began the good work within each of you will continue His work until it is finally finished on that day when Christ Jesus comes back. Philippians 1:5-6
UPDATE #16
The team was picked up from the orphanage by bus this morning and should be in Santo Domingo by 8PM.
UPDATE #15
Thank you so much for your intercessory prayers. The school desks are finished, the cover is up and about 140 people came to the orphanage today and heard the gospel message. When the invitation was given to receive Jesus as their Savior, about half the people raised their hands. Many came forward for prayer for healing, including the lady, who had the dream that her daughter would receive prayer. A lot of the people were already Christians. Some had drifted away from the Lord, but indicated that they wanted to live fully for Jesus.
The bus to take the team back to Santo Domingo is due to arrive at 10 AM in the morning. Let's pray it arrives on time and that the team has a timely and safe trip home.
Our dear friend, Juan Domingo from Mexico, says, "What a blessing it is to see the Lord work in spite of such devastation. He's on His throne and is pouring out His Spirit in these last days! Amid the rubble, people are coming to the Lord. God is breaking through generations of witchcraft and people are gladly hearing the Good News!"
Thank YOU, JESUS!
UPDATE #14
John White writes: "Thank you for the intercession. Went to military base tonight; 12 out of 15 young soldiers gave their hearts to the Lord! It was a special, rich time. Our two Haitian guys were with us, along with Jack and Zip." He also related this story: "Sunday night a Haitian lady who lives in Delmas, had a dream. Yesterday she shared her dream with Suzette, who with her husband directs the Lighthouse Orphanage. In her dream the lady saw an old man with a hat on and he was speaking to a large crowd of people about Jesus. Afterwards he prayed for my daughter, who has a heart problem. Suzette said, 'Who was the man?' The lady said, 'I don't know. All I know is that he is old and wearing a hat.' Minutes later, as Suzette and the lady continued walking, the lady saw John White about a half a block away. She said, 'There is the man.' John said, "When this lady had the dream, I didn't own a hat, but because of the extreme heat, I bought one this afternoon." At 4 PM EST in Haiti, Bill and Suzette have arranged to have a large meeting, where John will be speaking and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. Afterwards, team members will distribute food. Please pray that this meeting will actually take place. Things are so fluid there and plans change continually. Your prayers are vital for all the Lord wants to do in every person's life today in Delmas, Haiti.
Please pray for a miraculous change in the weather today as team members build the tent city. The heat is almost unbearable. John needs prayer for an infected hand. It got caught in rusty wire yesterday as he was working at the tent city. His left foot needs prayer for healing too.
Also ask the Lord to provide the team with the bus they need to return to Santo Domingo tomorrow. Pray that it will not only be provided but that it will come on time so they can travel out of Haiti before sunset.
Already Team 1 guys are talking about returning to Haiti. One member writes: "I don't know about the rest of you but I think it goes without saying that our trip has really touched my life as well as those around me. I have been having trouble sleeping at night as I believe God is speaking to me about what we experienced. All of my dreams are about Haiti. I have been praying about a return trip in the near future."
John and the team's translator, Yveto, are asking the Lord to provide a stadium and funding for a five day crusade in April. John said that Yveto is filled with the Spirit of God. They both want to share Jesus in April in Haiti. Let's pray that the Lord continues to direct FFC ERT guys in His perfect plans for His ministry!
